Account

A

Apply for a job

Select the job from the main list. View the practice profile and see reviews from other nurses. If you want to go ahead, click Apply. The practice will be notified in their app and by email. If they want to book you, they'll accept and you'll receive a confirmation.

Accept an offer

If a practice posts a job for which you're a match, they can offer it to you via the app.

You'll receive a notification in the app and by email. You can then review the practice and if you want to go ahead, click Accept.

Availability

You can set your default availability by selecting days and time ranges in the Calendar's Set Default tab.

In Calendar View, you can switch individual days on and off by clicking on them.

IMPORTANT - don't use the Unavailable button for long-term status changes, this button acts to temporarily override your current availability and resets at midnight

Bookings

Multi-day bookings: to improve the user experience the system may group jobs from a practice which fall on consecutive days into Bundles.

If you have availability for some of the days on which a job is posted, you will show up in the practice's results list as a partial match for only those days you want to work.

All jobs are per-day and either side is free to cancel days within a multi-day booking, subject to the minimum cancellation limits. Booked 2+ days before: 24 hours | Booked the day before: 12 hours | Same day: 90 minutes (eg 7am for 8:30am).

Cancellation

Like any booking arrangement, there are cancellation limits to prevent inconvenience to either party. These limits vary, depending on how far in advance of the job date the booking was made. For the minimum cancellation periods, see Bookings.

Practices breaching these limits will be liable for the nurse's fee for that day, however a platform service fee will not be payable.

If a nurse breaches the limits without proof of force measure, they will be prevented from accepting new jobs for 2 weeks and repeated breaches can result in removal from the platform.

Documents

During the sign-up process the system may require you to upload certain documents. These can be via your phone's camera (provided they meet minimum image quality requirements) or via file upload. These documents can be checked by automated systems and staff to ensure conformity with the General Terms of Service.

You can view and update these documents from the Profile section of the app.

ETA

On the day your job starts, navigate to the Active tab, click the Job button to see the ETA notification options. Click the most appropriate button and the practice will be immediately notified. If you encounter changes on your journey you can update your ETA accordingly or direct message the practice if you feel the need. 

IT Skills

Make the most of your profile by highlighting your experience of dental software and hardware systems. Some practices insist on familiarity with certain practice management software, so remember to update your profile as your skill set increases.

Jobs

Nurses - for job offers, please see Accept a job

 

The jobs screen is organised into tabs and defaults to a list of available / unfilled jobs.

FILTER

To the left of the tabs is the filter button, this allows you to organise the list according to your preference.

​

REFRESH

The jobs list updates itself periodically, but you can manually update it at any time by swiping down.

​

NEW JOB

Practices can post a new job easily by tapping Add New Job from the main screen. This leads to the configuration screen where you can specify your requirements.

​

EDIT JOB

Once created, you can edit your requirements. Select Manage Job, then Edit, this will bring you back to the same creation screen. Your changes will be updated immediately. Please note you can't modify a job's requirements once it has been offered or booked. If you need to change an offered job, you'll need to withdraw the offer then change the requirements. Booked jobs would need to be cancelled and reposted, but please pay attention to the minimum cancellation limits.

HIDE JOB

This is a useful option if you don't want a job to appear in the results nurses see, but don't want to delete it entirely. Access this option from the Modify Job button.

CANCEL JOB

You can access this option from the Modify Job button if you're a practice, or the Job button if you're a nurse. Please be aware of the minimum cancellation limits.

WITHDRAW OFFER

If a practice has directly offered a job, but it has not yet been accepted, they can withdraw the offer from the Manage Job button.

Messaging

Nurses can directly message any practice which has offered them a job, and vice versa. Nurses can't message each other, nor can practices.

All messages are permanently archived for due diligence purposes.

Offer Job

After posting a job on the system, practices can review the profiles of nurses which match the specifications. Practices can then directly offer the job to a nurse if they wish. The nurse is notified of the offer both within the app and via email, they may then decline or accept the offer.

Until an offer is accepted, the practice is free to withdraw it at any time.

Partial matches

If a job listing covers several days, the system will show a list of all the nurses who have availability for all or some of the days.

If a practice books a nurse who is a partial match, the system will automatically re-list the remaining days as a new job.

Nurses, you will see the job listing for only those days on which you're available.

Pay

Nurses are professionals and should be free to set their own hourly rate. This is a fundamental principle of the Temp365 platform.

Nurses can set and amend their hourly rate at any time from the Profile section, the changes go live immediately and will show in any job searches.

​

Please note, changes to your hourly rate will NOT affect any existing bookings, offers made by practices, or appliations you've already submitted, these will use the hourly rate as it was when the job was offered or applied for.

Payments

The Faster Payments system and Open Banking protocol have been in existence for a number of years. We all expect to pay for online purchases when we make them.

In the era of fully digital end-to-end systems, there is no plausible reason for Independent Practices not to pay a nurse on the day they provide their services.

Once a job is complete, an invoice is generated and payment can be made via card, bank transfer or Direct Debit.

Dental nurses are very hard-working and we feel they should be paid promptly, so the payment terms for independent practices without a Direct Debit in place are 48 hours.

We appreciate Dental Corporate Bodies have internal financial controls and centralised approval systems, for this reason up to 14 days should be expected for payments from these users. Full terms for corporate clients can be obtained from our administrative team.

Profile

You can edit any aspect of your profile at any time, except for your name and GDC number. If you wish to amend or update any core identity component please contact our user support team.

It's hugely beneficial to keep your profile up to date and filled with informative, pertinent details, it helps you stand out.

It's also very important to ensure any certificates you keep on the system are in-date.

PIN

The system requires a strong account password and 2FA is used by default for logins.

In addition, an extra layer of protection guards your banking details in the form of a six digit code which you can change from the Profile section.

DO NOT use your banking card's pin for this section.

Tax & NI

You are paid the full amount for any job you undertake.

Remember to keep a record of all your travel and any other qualifying expenses as you will be able to claim these costs back at the end of the financial year.

Timesheet

START

When a nurse arrives at a practice they must manually start their digital timesheet by selecting the relevant job from their list and tapping the Job button.

Hourly rates are calculated in 15 minute increments.

PAUSE

Any breaks, lunch for example, will need to be accurately recorded by pressing pause on the timesheet.

​

STOP

Once a job is complete, nurses will need to press Stop - a prompt will be generated to make sure this is desired - once a timesheet is stopped it cannot be restarted.

​

APPROVE

Practices will be informed when a timesheet has been stopped. The relevant person will then need to review and approve the logged time or amend it accordingly.

​

ACCEPT

Once the practice has approved the timesheet or submitted an amendment, nurses will then be able to view the finalised timesheet and either accept it or query any changes if they consider them to be inaccurate.

Unavailable

Nurses can quickly override their default availability on the Jobs page by selecting the Unavailable option in the top left corner.

 

When this option is selected, you will not appear in any practice's job results. However, you will still see any jobs which match your working preferences and can apply for them.

 

The Unavailable option resets at midnight.
